We’re on a mission to expand access to career-ladder roles within the tech sector.
Our Mission
KindWork helps talented young adults from overlooked communities transform their economic outlook and launch new careers in the tech innovation economy.
We provide in-depth career skills training, opening a path to otherwise inaccessible opportunities at tech-enabled companies for low-income, unemployed, and underemployed young adults.
We believe that KindWork graduates with in-demand digital skills are uniquely positioned for career resiliency in today's rapidly evolving job market. Programs like ours play a critical role in helping the most vulnerable communities access sustainable economic opportunities.
The Challenge
Unemployment & underemployment persists in many communities
Many communities across the country are being left behind, particularly young adults from high-poverty neighborhoods and communities of color.
We believe it’s time for tech to step up.
We've observed a serious lack of connective tissue between hiring managers in tech, workforce training organizations, and low-income young adults looking for career-ladder employment.
We saw an opportunity to focus on rapid credentialing for digital-based, customer-focused roles—an unaddressed need in the workforce development community.
Creating career pathways for low-income younger adults to entry-level, in-demand roles in the innovation economy is a potent opportunity for economic transformation.
And it’s with this opportunity in mind, we set out to build KindWork. We’re grateful for the support we’ve received from our donors, community, and employer partners.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IS A GREAT PLACE TO START
Customer Experience roles serve as key gateways to careers in the tech industry. As frontline representatives at leading tech companies, these positions offer excellent entry points with significant advancement potential.
Hundreds of tech-enabled companies are actively hiring for entry-level Customer Success and Customer Experience specialists, making this an ideal path to launch your career in the tech innovation economy.
